Is it just me or does Bill seem kinda like a weenie when Hillary is sticking up for him.

In any case he's DA MAN for raising billions of dollars for his fund and > $3 BILLION to fight global warming! If the greedy and short-sighted Republicans don't support social programs and the environment, someone's gotta.

i've been taking pics of dairy queen when i go because my friend marla in phoenix says they don't have chocolate ice cream out there because it's not a popular flavor. i think she's just confused.

this is a view of my new office. it's a smaller one with an annoying pillar in the middle of the windows, but i'm lucky to already have gotten one with a window! 

 

the view is nice enough. and the office is a tad warmer than the cube farm i was in. will have to bring in more plants, pictures, speakers. i don't understand how some peeps don't decorate their offices. 

 

my petunias have been going gangbusters lately. some caterpillars had snuck in and devoured every hint of a petal until i picked them back. after pinching the petunia back, they've gone mad crazy. a good camera would do them better justice.

I went to Rehoboth Beach, DE for Labor Day Weekend. The beach is always great, but this was the lousiest beach weather ever because Ernesto was still sweeping through. The sun did come out for a few hours on the beach. 

 

i went with tom and tim, who weren't at first interested in the day's festivities.

I went to a Washington Nationals game. This is at RFK stadium. They're building a new one to open for the 2008 season at something ridiculous like $650 MILLION dollars. 

 
there's a hotel in washington with a rooftop patio that overlooks the whitehouse and washington monument. the food is rotten, but the view and drinks are perfect! 

 
camera phones are dumb. but in a pinch, better than nothing.

This past weekend I went camping with friends in the Shenandoah Valley. It's hard to believe I haven't been out that way since leaving Culpeper in April; then I used to take mountain drives almost once a week. 

The annual fireworks! Hmm, who decided to light them next to the fire?

  

  

 
while i know a few peeps who do hardcore camping, i've only been able to do car camping most recently. sometimes people like to buy the absolute largest tent they can find (maybe so they can fit a dressing chair inside?). here are some friends setting up the HoJo.

Adams Morgan is one of a few funky neighborhoods in the District. They had a pretty big street fair with music, food, local organizations, and art. It was a sunny hot day after that big cold spell we had.
