Sadly, the Museum of American History closed today for a two-year fabulous renovation. I managed to sneak in recently and check out Julia Child's kitchen. It was very small and I'm amazed she could tape her shows from it. There was a video playing of her old shows and ever since watching it, I've been on one helluva omelette cooking kick! Her kitchen wasn't much wider than it is in this photo. Another counter is along the right side.
